Many of you have shared with me about Farm Fresh To You, but I have never tried it out, until recently. We were at a climbing competition in Orange County and one of the vendors happened to be this organic delivery service. The gentleman at the booth was very informative, super nice, and a fellow vegan. I shared with him that I never thought this would benefit my family because I am the delivery person for the Barnes Family.
He convinced me with his kind words, plus I’m a pushover when I see the certified organic certificate. Really, who wouldn’t want to wake up to a box full of organic produce on your front porch? The thought of my box being delivered felt like Christmas. I was so excited to dive in and cook with whatever fresh veggies were in my box.
To be honest, I was disappointed. $46.00 was expensive for what I know I can find at local farms for a lot less. The amount was small, supposedly this box was for a family of four, but we are vegan/vegetarian family, so it is more accurately for two, or one raw vegan. 🙂
Don’t get me wrong, I think this is a great resource, if you have more money than time, and an adventurous palate. As for me and my family, time is more available than money. So, I will continue to shop the farmers’ markets and visit the local farms.
Farm Fresh to you can definitely help you get fresh organic food to your house. The vegetables and fruits were amazing. We loved the purple potatoes, we juiced up the swiss chard, and devoured the asparagus. They also add recipes to go with your veggies which I think is awesome.
What works for one family might not work for another, but eating more organic fruits and vegetables will benefit your health. Find what works for you and your family and share it with me, I would love to hear about it!
