Green means GO!

right now rawI am a firm believer in shopping at local farms, but to be honest the green tags at Sam’s Club are getting my attention. Usually, I only run in quickly to pick up dog food. I must admit I look around at all the large amounts of processed food stacked to the heavens and I take a sigh of relief that I no longer purchase this type of food for my family.

One day as I was sprinting by the pet isle I noticed organic quinoa on an end cap. It was twice the size of what I normally buy at Sprouts and the price was less! The other thing I noticed was the tag above this massive stack of quinoa was green. I thought maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me, fortunately they were not. So, I bought it!

I was so happy with my new purchase that the next time we were in need of pet food I was determined to see if there were any more green tags. Surprisingly, I found some wonderful things. Twice the amount and for less money. I dropped my superior attitude towards this store as I filled my buggy with a few of my favorite things.

Here are the organic items that I found that were too good of a deal to pass up! (Sorry Sprouts & Trader Joes) All of these products are certified organic.

  • brown rice
  • quinoa
  • fresh raspberries
  • fresh blueberries
  • green tea
  • almond flour
  • fresh mushrooms
  • fresh apples
  • lettuce
  • fresh spinach
  • agave
  • Cliff Bars
  • blue corn tortilla chips
  • coconut oil
  • Amy’s frozen pizza

*their raw nuts are a good price (not organic)

If only they had organic bananas!!!!  Go check out Sam’s Club for the green tags and save yourself a little money without jeopardizing your health.
